The Not-so-Frozen Tundra

Well this Christmas season has been a number of surprises one after another. The biggest shocker of all has to be the weather here in Michigan. We have been in the state for nearly 12 days now and we have yet to see daytime temperatures below freezing! There was a few moments of snow on Dec. 26 but those were short lived and I was off with my sister for a run a couple of hours later. We have most certainly been blessed by our time back home in many ways including the time spent with our families and a wonderful visit to our second home of Lansing/East Lansing to reconnect with our church family there. I was prompted to remember that the Vineyard Church in East Lansing is where I truly began to value the church for its role as the body of Christ and was once again blessed and encouraged by the community that still exists there today.

On another note, only a few days till our return to the valley of the sun and then off to claim our dog!! More news to follow on those subjects.
