All Over The Place

I'm feeling a bit ADD right now so I have the feeling that this post will be a bit like the title, plus a lot has gone on since my last substantial post. So first, we finally got our new dog.. She is awesome, this is her picture.

She is a 3 yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier which is a mouthful to say when people ask. She has been totally awesome since we brought her home. It took the better part of a week for her to adjust but has been the sweetest little dog ever since then. All she wants to do is to curl up next to you and snuggle which is why I want to get her certified as a therapy dog. That seems well and good except she would really like to eat cats if she got the chance. Once we get her over that it will be smooth sailing..

In other news, the holidays were a smashing success and we are glad to have been with family and friends but also rejoiced at our homecoming to the state of sunshine that is Arizona. Michigan is beautiful much of the year but during a winter with no snow it gets downright depressing. Also, thanks to all those in Lansing who came by and visited on New Years Eve, it was great to see everyone and we miss you very much.

In news on the spiritual front, things are finally progressing with the changes in Saturday night at CCOJ (our church) and it has been a welcome beginning to a process that will take time but is already showing promise. We have really felt that as a result of our choice to become involved in that community that it is really stretching us to grow in many ways. Also, it has had the wonderful side effect of introducing us to others around our same age and life situation. This has been one of the big encouragements to know that we have people to connect with and make another church family with here in Phoenix.
