Welcome

So this is officially the first post on my very first blog. I dont know if this will ever be read by anybody but me but regardless I write on. I suppose I should give some sort of intro to this whole idea of a blog. I have recently moved from Michigan to Arizona and since doing so have felt a very real call to delve deeper into what the foundations of being a Chrisitian look like. I have been a Christian since late 1999 but most of what I knew of faith was cultural and very limited. I was a typical "cultural" Christian. I cared about the "Big 3" moral issues Gays, Abortion and personal morality. I never really felt that I was not following Christ but in a way I see now that my faith was co-opted by a conservative cultural/religious morality. So in a sense, this will be an open forum where I will publicly expouse my own search for an understanding of what it looks like to really follow the person of Jesus Christ. I'm sure along the way there will be some other commentary thrown in as well as a fair share of random stuff. So enjoy the ride.
